WHAT IS BEND AREA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY?

  • A community supported, volunteer-based, Christian ministry dedicated to helping families in need build and purchase affordable homes.

  • Bend Area Habitat for Humanity -- its Board, committees, volunteers, donors, and families are open to people of all walks of life -- age, race, creed, or religion. We welcome volunteers to help families help themselves improve their lives.

  • Founded in 1989, we have built 59 houses (counting 5 being finished for 2005), serving 64 families and making it possible for them to own decent, affordable housing.

  • Habitat best exemplifies "act locally, think globally"! Ten percent of all our unrestricted funds are sent to HfHI to build homes overseas! Through our tithe we have helped finance over 65 homes in other countries.

  • The Habitat for Humanity Philosophy and Habitat facts

  • "Just the facts, Ma'am"
