was opened in July of 2004 by Dr. Sue A. Dougherty and Dr. Mark B. Parchman, a husband and wife team that has worked together for going on 20 years.  In 1991, they co-founded a small animal referral and 24 hour critical care practice in San Jose, California where they worked for 14 years before coming to Bend in March of 2004.

 At BVS, specialties include Internal Medicine, Critical Care, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Cancer Surgery and Medicine. Patients are accepted on a referral from a primary care veterinarian basis only. Our philosophy has always been simple. We will only provide the highest level of quality care and expertise to our patients and their owners.
